Picture(s) of the day (May 3, 2010)

Today there are three pictures of the day. I couldn’t decide which one to pick, since I liked all three of them so much – so I decided to post them all! :-)

The pictures were shot yesterday on a late afternoon walk. We chose a route we hadn’t walked before, and as it is with new places, they offer a lot of new impressions and fresh ideas for pictures.

"Snail #1" | Olympus E-P1 + Lumix 20/1.7 @ f/4, 1/250 sec, ISO 200

Great, how blurred the background is even at f/4! I didn’t realise I still had the aperture set to 4 when I shot this – and I didn’t notice at all until I looked at the EXIF data.

"Snail #2" | Olympus E-P1 + Lumix 20/1.7 @ f/1.7, 1/1250 sec, ISO 200

Olympus E-P1 + Lumix 20/1.7 @ f/1.7, 1/80 sec, ISO 250

This concrete mixer is one of the many things cramming up the already small ‘garden’ (if you can even call it that) behind our house. Our landlord is quite a ‘collector’ …
