Deal o’ the day: M.Zuiko 40-150 for $149 at B&H

I just noticed that B&H Photo have lowered the price for the Olympus M.Zuiko 40-150mm f/4-5.6 Micro Four Thirds tele zoom lens to a mind boggling $149 USD. Essentially, this lens is as cheap as it gets right now.

They’re out of stock for the black version, but you can get the shiny, classic-looking silver version instead. You have to add it to your shopping cart to see the final price.

The MZD 40-150/4-5.6 is a solid performer, covering a focal length range of 80-300mm equivalent to 35mm full-frame. This makes it suited for all uses between portraiture, wildlife photography, landscape detial photography or even taking close-up pictures. With its virtually silent quick autofocus, it is also suited for videography. Due to its small size and low weight it’s the ideal telephoto lens for those who want their Micro Four Thirds setup to stay compact.

You can find a very positive review of that lens over at SLR Gear.

Btw., I just checked how much the lens would be if you ordered it from Europe, where you will have to pay import tax. Well, shipped to Germany it’ll be 155 €. The lens retails for about 100 € more if you buy it from a European vendor. Wow! What a deal!
