On the christmas market Cologne Neumarkt today. I like the calm and peaceful expression of the statuette — somehow antithetical to the busy consumerism you’re seeing everywhere these days. I saw this car in a parking lot and just had to take a picture — love that bonnet design The first snow of the year! While it was enough to make snowballs, it didn’t last long, and today most of it was gone again. After an overcast day, the sky cleared up yesterday evening, and I was able to take a picture of this beautiful winter sunset. I think I’ll have to try using the Heliar without the UV/IR filter, it always gets the corners messed up despite using a Tri-Elmar lens profile at the 16mm setting. Distant city lights, with different brightness, in different colours, and a car passing by — maximally blurred by a wide-open Zeiss 50/2 Planar focused @ .7 metres. I was attracted by rusty metal again today. It seems I have a liking for textures lately. Since it was already getting dark, the lights in the background are relatively bright, adding to a nice bokeh. Also, the 28 Biogon seems to be my favourite lens these days! |
