This week was a week of crazy skies and beautiful light. PAD #104 | “Sunrise” | Around 8:30 a.m. at my office, I saw the sun rise above the hills surrounding Marburg. Recently, sunrises have been extraordinarily beautiful around here. PAD #100 | “Prized” | When he was younger, my grandfather was a passionate hunter. This is the head of the first elk he ever shot, back in the sixties.
Here are my PAD picture of the last three days, which I didn’t get around to post until today. PAD #97 | “New toy” | This is one of Emil’s new toys that he got for christmas, a little wooden train with wooden tracks that can be arranged in a number of ways. Especially fun for a little boy like him: the trains runs on a battery! The christmas series continues with another illuminated christmas star. Unlike those featured recently, this one was plain white. So no significant information was lost upon conversion to b&w The region where my wife’s family lives is plastered with power plants. Whichever direction you look, chances are you’ll see a plant somewhere on the horizon. Not the best surroundings for photographing landscapes … except if a juxtaposition of nature and industry is what you’re looking for. |
