PAD-Project: Week #5, Picture #1

Okay, so week #5 will be done with the Olympus E-P1 + Lumix 20/1.7 — a combo I neglected in the past week because I was busy shooting my new Zeiss lenses :-)

Today, it was a little late for taking pictures, as the sun was already setting when I went home from work. I captured the last few sunrays shining through these branches, using the Pinhole art filter of the E-P1. I admit, this is not my typical style :-)

Picture of the day (February 23, 2011)

Being up early has its advantages. For example, you get to see this wonderful, soft and golden early morning light. Provided the sky is free of clouds, which, fortunately, it is again — since yesterday. After two weeks of overcast. It’s still freezing cold, but I prefer freezing cold with sunshine over freezing cold with dull gray. Anyway, here’s a snapshot from one of our office plants that I couldn’t resist taking. The light was just too beautiful!

Picture of the day (February 17, 2011)

We were out for dinner tonight, and while waiting for our dishes to arrive, I played a bit with my E-P1 + 20/1.7. The light was very dim, and the tulip was only illuminated by a candle a few centimeters away. Straight o-o-c JPEG.

Picture of the day (February 14, 2011)

Here I am again with a picture of the day! Sorry for not posting one for so long, but I’ve been busy with other things, as you can gain from this picture. We’re about to move to a new flat closer to where both of us work, and we’re busy fixing up all the stuff the previous tenants broke … Yesterday, we were painting the bedroom walls in “berry 7”.

A photographic review of 2010

So 2010 is over. And as it is with things past, we tend to forget them through the daily work that occupies us. 2010 was quite a year, though. Many things happened. I’ve learned a lot of stuff. I have so many great and some not so great memories. I can’t do justice to all of them. So, here’s a little photographic review of 2010. One picture for each month — except for April, since I’ve lost all my pictures from April due to a harddisk crash in late 2010. (This is one of the not so great memories …)

January: Emil watching the snow fall through our balcony door. (This picture was featured in Steve Huff’s “Daily Inspiration” column.)
