PAD #59 | “Blue flowers”

Continuing to use the 50 Planar on my E-P1, which is a very nice combo for close-up and details shots. The only issue is that the Planar is a rather high contrast lens, which doesn’t work too well with the E-P1’s limited dynamic range under difficult lighting conditions.

Olympus E-P1 + Planar 50/2 @ f/2 (or slightly stopped down), 1/3200 sec, ISO 160 | Color Efex 3 @ Fujichrome Velvia 100

PAD #58 | “Figurines”

Seen today at my doctor’s — three cute little stone figurines placed on a balcony ledge. I had decided to try out the 50 Planar on my E-P1, and it turned out to be the perfect combo for this picture!

The only downside with using M-lenses on the E-P1 is that the sensor just isn’t up to convey the full potential of the lenses. I had noticed this already with my 35/2 Biogon and 50/1.5 Nokton — they render much sharper on the M8, due to its lack of an AA-filter. But they’re fun on the E-P1 from time to time nonetheless :-)

PAD #57 | “Dandelions against the setting sun”

I noticed this patch of dandelions passing by a large meadow on my way home from work, and took a little detour — fortunately, I was traveling by bike :-) This is another one of those shots that were possible only with the E-P1!

PAD-Project: Week #8, Picture #3

I have a strange love for signs :-) This one marks a hydrant (or more specifically, a water intake point) in our street, adjacent to the local administration bulding.

PAD-Project: Week #7, Picture #2

Today, I decided to give the E-P1 and 20/1.7 a little workout. I just felt like it :-) So, here’s a picture that could only have been taken with the E-P1:
