The picture is actually from three weeks ago, but I just re-discovered it on my memory card, and liked it so much that I decided to share it with you. The location is the short passage that leads from the entrance of our house to the courtyard. The dog is our landlord’s.

In the last few weeks, I’ve accumulated a significant amount of pictures from our various walks with Emil, so I decided to pick my favourites and share them with you.
Sunday, October 24th
Jasmin was visiting a friend that day, so Emil and I had a “men’s day” 😉 In the late afternoon, we seized the beautiful weather and went for a stroll through our village and the surrounding countryside.

Last weekend, my father, his spouse, their dog Maja* and my brother came to visit us. Later in the evening, Maja got tired and laid down on Emil’s plush dog “Peppo”. Can you tell who is who? 😉

Processed in Lightroom 3.2 using my favourite b&w preset, “Creamtone” (slightly modified).
*) For those of you not familiar with the German tongue, the name is pronounced mah-ya (rough approximation to English orthography … :-)).

UPDATE: I’ve uploaded a second, larger version of this image, which you can show by clicking on the image above. I’ve decided I will from now on upload all images with 1000px on the long side, but keep them reduced to 700px within the post. The large versions will be accessible by clicking on the respective image. So far, I had only incorporated pictures with a size of 1000px in my galleries, but I could imagine that for some users with larger monitors, a 700px image is a bit small, and for all others they can still decide whether to view the large version or not. So, from now on, all pictures in my posts will be linked to a larger version!
