Evening impression in the fields (Lightroom 3.2 pseudo-HDR)

From an evening walk in the fields surrounding our village. Contrast was immense, so I underexposed -1 for the skies in post (LR 3.2) and pushed the “Fill Light” silder up to 100. Then adjusted the tone curve and colour settings. Of course this doesn’t look as good as with a dedicated HDR workflow (gotta get Photmatix), but I’m quite satisfied.

Some late summer/early fall shots

The weather has turned really ugly around here, with clouds and rain and low temperatures, and there’s really not much one can do. So I had a look on my hd and picked some shots from late september and early october, when the sun was still shining. Maybe these’ll brighten up your mood as well! :-)

Picture of the day (October 17, 2010)

Took this one a few weeks ago and only now got around to processing it. Who might be that mysterious beauty hiding behind her scarf? :-)

Photkina 2010: A report in pictures

As I previously announced, yesterday I spent the day visiting photokina 2010 in Cologne, and I brought back with me a huge load of impressions, pictures of latest models, of prototypes, and other stuff. So without much ado, here’s my report on the fair — by manufacturer, in alphabetic order.

General impressions from the fair will be posted in a seperate gallery soon.

CAUTION! Massive amount of pictures ahead! Make sure your connection is fast enough, and that you have enough time! :-)
