Picture of the day (September 10, 2010)

One of the first test shots with my newly acquired Minolta M-Rokkor 28mm f/2.8! I’ve taken a picture of this water preparation facility before, with the Cosmicar/Pentax 25mm f/1.4 C-mount lens on the E-P1. When you compare the two, you can see the significant difference in angle-of-view between a 35mm and a 50mm equivalent focal length!

"The water preparation facility revisited" | Leica M8 + Rokkor 28/2.8 @ f/2.8, 1/60 sec, ISO 320

I took this in b&w JPEG as I don’t have the fitting 40.5mm UV/IR filter yet – but I hope it’ll arrive by tomorrow. Post-processing consisted solely of some slight tone-curve adjustment and watermarking.

I’ll post more pictures taken with the new lens, soon, and I’ll also write a brief report on my first experiences with this 28mm on the Leica M8!
